Pattern Making time

The past week has been spent turning my designs for next seasons range into patterns. I am slowly getting there, it's a real process when you are doing initial patterns for a range because it's a bit of a guessing game. You have your initial block pattern which is a guide but you basically have to assume that a seam will work here or there. It won't be until I make up the toiles that I will be able to really assess how the garment works as a whole.  


So this is what a block looks like... 



It gets traced onto paper and then I manipulate 
and use it to create the right pattern piece (as seen below)

Because I am practiced at it I can pretty much imagine how
 it will turn out but it will definitely need tweaking. 
Below is what I am aiming for so I will keep 
you posted on the process with this design!
